Livingston 2nd Funniest Sports Celebrity in Washington, D.C. Monica Livingston, a running back for the D.C. Divas and winner of the inaugural contest in 2005, took 2nd place in the Third Annual Funniest Sports Celebrity in Washington Contest at the DC Improv. Her competition included Levan Reid from Channel 9, Frank Hanrahan from Sportstalk 980 and Mark "Nigel" Sterne from the Tony Kornheiser Show. Sterne led off the evening with a spirited set fueled by his choice of hydration. Reid and Hanrahan provided very personal moments in their first foray into the standup world. Livingston wowed the crowd to end the evening with her understanding of our changing world and how that impacts each of us. Sterne managed to win his first crown with a judging panel comprised of Washington Redskin great Dexter Manley, D.C. United's Mark Burch, Dan Steinberg from the Washington Post and Dan Hellie and Lindsay Czarniak from Channel 4 sports. The judges loved Livingston but Sterne managed to pull it out with his "Power triangle" line of comedy. Monica and Sterne will certainly see each other again on the stage soon. Read more:
