D.C. DIVAS FALL IN "GREATEST WOMEN'S FOOTBALL GAME"
Pittsburgh Passion Stuns Visiting Divas, 38-34; Second Loss Most For D.C. Since 2003

PITTSBURGH, PA -- “The greatest women’s football game I’ve ever seen,“ was a comment heard several times after the thrilling 38-34 Pittsburgh Passion victory over the visiting D.C. Divas. This action packed battle can be seen on Thursday, May 8th at 7:30pm on Direct TV channel 628 Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh.

The Divas' first play of the game resulted in a 54-yard touchdown pass from QB Allyson Hamlin to WR Tara Stephenson. Stephenson had two touchdown receptions on the night, and her second score brought the Divas within 38-34 with less than three minutes left in the game. The Divas defense held the Passion on four downs and gave the offense one more opportunity. With just under a minute to play, Hamlin took a hit and her attempted pass was intercepted to end the game. Divas RB Tiffany Matthews continued her strong season with two touchdowns.

The win for the Passion was their first against the Divas in franchise history. The two losses for the Divas (1-2) are the most since the 2003 season in which the Divas finished 8-2.

The Divas have a bye week on May 10th before traveling to Central Pa. on May 17th for a division match up with the Vipers.
