I am a 13 – year

I strive to be an example of what a MAN should be. I work through

able to make correct choices and producing quality human beings. |

| Who was your childhood
idol? Why? |
My father first because he works
hard and he instilled that in me. My grandfather second, because he
was a community leader and well – respected in his community.
My pastor third, because he was a visual example of what it is to
be Christ – like. I also liked Art Monk, Ronnie Lott, Walter
Payton and Darrell Green. All four were excellent, Hall of Fame players,
but each was a good person throughout their careers and well beyond
after their careers. |
| Who is your favorite
NFL player? Why? |
My brother, Mark Washington, is
my favorite player. He just ended an 11 – year Canadian Football
League career. He embodies field intelligence, leadership and when
it comes down to it, he can flat out play.
During this era of the game, I have only a few, but the late Sean
Taylor was, without question, my favorite. I can’t say that
I have a favorite since his passing. He was talented beyond his
position and he was just rounding into the Hall of Fame caliber
player that he was blessed to be. He definitely was taken away too
soon for me.
|
| If you could play
any position, which one would you choose? Why? |
Running Back! Because of the high
level of dependency by your teammates, you are heavily involved in
most offensive plays. You get opportunities to make big plays via
the pass, blocking and especially running. Get first downs! Plus I
could take on my brother, because he’s a DB. |
| What are your lifetime
aspirations? |
I want to return to the Holy Lands
some day and I would like to venture further into Africa. Mission
work in Africa for so many needy kids because I would just like to
see them have the kind of fun I had at a time when I was a kid. |
| What are your favorite
sports memories? |
- When University of Pittsburgh won the 1989 John Hancock Sun
Bowl in El Paso, TX
- When my brother Mark won the Grey Cup in 2002 & 2006, and
the World Bowl in 1997
- When the Washington Redskins won Super Bowl XVII in 1983
|
| Who are your female
sports idols? |
Wilma Rudolph & the Tennessee
State University Track Belles. She was so elegant as a sprinter and
she dominated. She aged beautifully and when she died, she was still
the most elegant female athlete we’ve known. |
