| Who was your childhood
idol? Why? |
My cousin Mike. This guy should have
gotten “MVP” tattooed on his chest because that’s
what he was to every team that he’s ever played for. Some of
my favorite childhood memories were of watching him literally annihilate
the opposing team either on the soccer field, in the ring, or on the
court. He truly was and continues to be an inspiration. |
| What is your favorite
book? |
“Maestro” by Bob Woodward.
It’s not a “page turner”, but after reading this
book, I switched my major from CIS to Economics. |
| What is your favorite
sports memory? |
It was our last soccer game against
Hedgesville my senior year. Hedgesville High was our arch nemesis
both on and off the field. We remained tied at zero until regulation
time ended. The game had to be decided with a shoot-out where each
team chose their top 5 players to shoot penalty shots against the
opposing team’s goalie. I was the goal keeper for Martinsburg
High. Hedgesville didn’t make a single penalty shot and we ended
up winning after making 2 out of 5 of our own shots. That was a great
feeling! |
| Who is your biggest
supporter? |
My mom although she doesn’t
approve of half the things I get myself into, she still loves and
supports me unconditionally. |
| What was your biggest
adjustment to playing women's football? |
Learning the technical and tactical
skills needed to excel at football. I’ve played coed pick-up
games before but had no idea how much there is to learn about the
sport if you intend on taking it seriously. |
