| What are your lifetime
aspirations? |
To help forge the way for women’s
professional football and help make it more recognizable in the world
of sports and become a sports writer/commentator for ESPN. |
| What was the first
sport you ever played? |
Indoor soccer. I was 7, and I was
the only girl on the team. I remember the ball being made from this
ugly yellow foam and I wore pink sweatpants. |
| Who is your female
sports idol? |
Billy Jean King opened minds by beating
Bobby Riggs in 1973 "Battle of the Sexes". She opened the
doors by helping establish Women's Sports Foundation in 1974. She
helped with Title 9 and proves that women have the intestinal fortitude
to play sports as equal to men. |
| Who is your biggest
supporter? |
I would have to say my parents and
my partner. My dad has been always proud of my achievements in life.
My partner Amanda has dedicated her time and has sacrificed time to
support my enjoyments in life. She is amazing and uplifts me when
I’m down. Knowing she believes in me gets me through difficult
situations. |
| What does it mean
to be a "Diva"? |
It’s playing a game with your
heart and playing not for yourself but for 65 other women on your
team. They all have the same goals you do. The team beats as one.
One heart. Everyone makes the tackle, the pass, the touchdown as a
team. Being a Diva is being able to look into your teammate's eyes
and know that she has your back and that you both will play your best
no matter the outcome of the game. |
