| Why do you play
women’s tackle football? |
I am always one who is up for a challenge.
Why not play football and show everyone what us ladies can do! |
| Who was your childhood
idol? Why? |
Mary Lou Retton: She was the first
American All-Around Gold Medalist in gymnastics and I remember watching
her over and over again hoping that one day I could be her. Being
5’8” put a little damper on my gymnastics career! |
| What is your favorite
sports memory? |
My freshmen year in high school when
my gymnastics team won the Indiana State Championships. |
| Who is your biggest
supporter? |
I would have to say my parents, even
though ALL of my friends are a close second. My parents have supported
me my whole life in whatever idea/sport I wanted to try. No matter
if it killed them because I wanted to participate in a million things
at once. They were always there and helped me be the best in everything
I did! |
| What does it meant
to be a "Diva"? |
I really got my first glimpse of what
it means when after a try-out a few of us went out to lunch. Not only
were the girls on the team so welcoming even though they didn’t
know if I made the team or not, it just showed how great of a group
I was hoping to join. What definitely hit me the most though was being
stopped by three different groups of kids….boys and girls. They
asked if I was part of the team and the smiles that they had on their
faces where fabulous when I said I was hoping to be. Being a positive
image for kids and letting them know you can do whatever you set your
mind too...words just can’t explain what it means! |
