| Who was your childhood
idol? |
I had many, but I could mention Jacques
Cousteau and Dian Fossey. Both did a tremendous work to educate us
so that we could understand nature and animals better. |
| If you could play
any position, which one would you choose? Why? |
DE or OLB. Lots of tackling, running
and contact with the blockers. |
| What was the first
sport you ever played? |
I did a lot of dancing, alpine skiing
and horseback riding as a child but not really any competitive sports.
So I guess football would be the first. |
| What is your favorite
sports memory? |
The two national championships I won
with my football team in Finland. |
| Who is your biggest
supporter? |
My husband and my parents. |
| What was your biggest
adjustment to playing women's football? |
The helmet. It was heavy, and I felt
like I couldn’t see anything. |
| How did you get
into women's tackle football? |
I saw an add in Finland, a team in
my hometown was looking for players. Back then we played semi-contact
football with flags. Two years ago we started playing tackle football. |
