Divas and the Rochester Raptors are full contact women’s football teams of the National Women's Football League. The D.C. Divas and Rochester Raptors will play an exhibition on game on April 6th at Eastern High School located at 1700 S. Capitol Street, SE, Washington, DC at 1pm. The D.C. Divas completed their inaugural season with the National Women’s Football League in 2001. The Rochester Raptors are playing exhibition games in 2002 and will be added to the full NWFL schedule in 2003. The D.C. Divas will play in the Mid Atlantic division against the Baltimore Burn, Tennessee Venom and Asheville Assault. The National Women's Football League, Inc. is entering it's second full season with 21 teams set to kick-off on April 20. The league, which began in August 2000, plays full contact football using NFL rules. In less than two years the league has expanded from one team to 22 teams and the league website, www.nwflcentral.com, receives over a million hits per month (according to webtrends).
