Wild Card Wishes Still D.C. DIVAS Dream

Playoff Berth Clinched

Division Champions:

  • Northern— Mass Mutiny
  • Mid Atlantic— Baltimore Burn
  • Southern—Pensacola Power
  • Great Lakes—Detroit Danger
  • *Central—Undetermined
    • 1) Both Alabama Renegades and Nashville Dream are tied.
    • 2) If the teams both win their games this Saturday on June 29th (they would both be 7-1), their head-to-head record indicates that the Renegades would be Division Champion.
      • a) May 4 Dream over Renegades 24-14
      • b) June 22 Renegades over Dream 34-19
      • c) Total points allowed
        • Renegades 24 +19 = 43
        • Dream 14 +34 = 48

***However, if either the Dream or Renegades lose this Saturday, this would affect their final Win-Loss record and ultimately, who is Division Champion. For example, if the Renegades lose this weekend (their record would be 6-2) and the Dream win (their record would be 7-1), the Dream would be Division Champion. If the Dream lose this weekend (their record would be 6-2) and the Renegades win (7-1), the Renegades would still be Division Champion.

Wildcard Clinched:

Again, this would be the Dream (6-1) or Renegades (6-1). Even if they both lose their games, league wise they have the best records and therefore clinch a playoff berth.

Wildcard Possibilities for 2 remaining berths

Philadelphi Belles (5-2)
Cleveland Fusion (5-2)
D.C. Divas (5-3)
Chattanooga Locomotion (4-3)

***If either the Fusion or Belles lose this weekend and allow many points scored against them, we would have to recalculate who would take the last two Wildcard berths. For example, if they both end up with 5-3 records, we would compare their standings to the D.C. Divas (who are 5-3). The Locomotion also has a chance if they win their next game (their record would be 5-3) and if the Belles or Fusion lose their games.

Playoff Rankings

To rank the playoffs, we first look at the best Win-Loss record, and then the least points allowed total not the total scored for the season! This is what we have for now pending this Saturday’s game. The number after the Win-Loss record is the total points allowed for the season.

Division Champions #1-#5

  #1) Power 7-0 19
  #2) Burn 7-1 15
  #3) Danger 6-1 78
  #4) Mutiny 6-1 100
  #5) Renegades 6-1 104

Wildcards #6-#8

  #6) Dream 6-1 94
  #7) Belles 5-2 92
  #8) Fusion 5-2 104
  ____________________________
Possibilities

  Divas 5-3 24
  Locomotion 4-3 99

To sum up: The #1-#6 spots are definitely in the playoffs, #7 & #8 are not definite. The rankings within the playoffs and who will host them are subject to change based on final records.
