Redskins’ Stellar Draft Weekend Is Not Complete!

The Washington Redskins missed two local free agents that could change the makeup of their team forever. Running back Donna "The Animal" Wilkinson and punt returner/wide receiver Lilah "LBoogie" Blackstone already wear burgundy and gold for the D.C. Divas, Washington's only playoff football team. Not only do they look different then all the other Redskins, but they perform at a level that fans and media have not been accustomed by their NFL peers over the last several seasons. In 2003 Donna Wilkinson rushed for 1,267 yards and 13 touchdowns, which gave her more total yards than the Redskins top 3 rushers combined, and would have made her their top scorer (including her 12 2-pt conversions). This year, Wilkinson has 21 carries for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns after 2 games. Punt returner "LBoogie" Blackstone earns her nickname with 4.4 speed. She's averaging 36 yards per return after two games. Her 2 touchdown returns in just two games would have led the Redskins for the season a year ago (the Redskins had NO punt returns for touchdowns a year ago). Blackstone has also rushed for a touchdown this year.

The D.C. Divas will be looking for win number 3 as they head to Erie to take on the Illusion on Saturday May 1st. These superstars and the rest of their teammates are available for interviews.
