UNDEFEATED D.C. DIVAS TAKE AWAY WIN AGAINST MASS. MUTINY, 22-12

On a cold night in Massachusetts the DC Divas didn't know what to expect. They got lost on the way to their hotel. They got lost on their way to the field. And they seemed lost when on the first play the Mutiny ran the ball 65 yards for the opening score. After a missed extra point the Offensive Line decided to take matters in their own hands.

With some talented running by LaShawn Foust, Monica Livingston, Tarlesha Wayne and Claudia Hogan, the Divas drove the ball 70 yards for their first score, 7 yards out by LaShawn Foust. From then on it was all Divas.

The Divas made the first of two 2-point conversions. Monica Livingston provided the second score on a four yard run by diving into the end zone. And the final touchdown for the D.C. Divas came late in the second quarter on a 19 run by Natalie Randolph.

This game was marred by penalties. In all DC had 9 penalties for 90 yards. These stalled all four second half drives leaving them blank for the second half. The Mutiny wasn't finished however, and with some nifty running they setup a fade pass for their final score. The Mutiny missed the extra point and a botched snap. The game was great to watch and great to participate in. It is quite possible that DC will see the Mutiny again this season. If so it promises to be another great game.
