IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Rich Daniel THE NOT-SO DIRTY DOZEN: TWELVE D.C. DIVAS HONORED AS IWFL ALL-STARS Washington, D.C.-- Another perfect regular season has its just rewards. The Divas, the Mid-Atlantic Division Champions of the Independent Women's Football League, led all IWFL teams in all-star selections. Eleven starters and one alternate have been named to the Eastern Conference squad. Representatives on offense include quarterback Allyson Hamlin, running back Rachelle Pecovsky-Bentley, guard Michelle Riddle, tackle Allysea Marfull and wide receivers Tara Kallal and Nikki Williams. Honorees on defense include linebacker Ivy Tillman, tackles Tessa Nelson and Trigger McNair, and defensive backs Kathryn Hemlock and Vickie Lucas. Linebacker Drea Major was also selected as an alternate. "Football is a team sport, but these women are very deserving of individual recognition," said General Manager Rich Daniel. "These players are a testimony to commitment, hard-work and dedication. They are to be congratulated." ### The team is comprised of women of varied professional and athletic backgrounds from all over the Washington metropolitan area.
