Baltimore, MD – Thanks to a Major effort from the defense, the Divas are on a roll.

Linebacker Drea Major corralled three Baltimore Burn turnovers as the Divas shut out their fourth straight opponent, this time by a 30-0 score. Major picked off two of the three interceptions thrown by Burn quarterback Tara Watanathai, a former Diva who played with D.C. in 2004. Major returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown and also recovered a Baltimore fumble. The Burn (2-3) could only muster 88 yards of offense, the fourth straight opponent the Divas have held below 100 yards of offense.

The Divas (5-0) were once again led by the terrific running of Rachelle Pecovsky, who accounted for 164 yards and a touchdown on just 15 carries. Quarterback Allyson Hamlin also had an excellent day, going 11 for 22 with 144 passing yards and two touchdown throws. The Divas led 12-0 after one quarter and 24-0 at halftime on their way to a comfortable victory.

After a two-game road stretch, the Divas return home next Saturday to take on the Tidewater Floods.
