DC 35, Central PA 0
By Neal Rozendaal
Landover, MD – The D.C. Divas returned two punts for touchdowns and shut out the Central PA Vipers for the second straight week, winning by a 35-0 score.
The Divas (3-2) defeated the Vipers last Saturday, 43-0, and this game played out in similar fashion. The home team substituted liberally throughout the second half with the contest well in hand. The Divas built a 28-0 lead by midway through the third quarter, thanks largely to two punt return touchdowns.
The Vipers (0-6) have failed to score all season and have now been outscored in six games by a 283-0 count.
The Divas return to action at home next Saturday with a contest against their Beltway rivals, the Baltimore Nighthawks.
