Baltimore, MD – The D.C. Divas accepted a forfeit victory from the Central Maryland Seahawks on May 9, the second time the Seahawks have forfeited to the Divas this season.

The Divas (4-0) have only won four games in their history by forfeit. But three of those four forfeit victories have been over the Seahawks (0-4) the past two seasons. The D.C. Divas defeated the Central Maryland Seahawks in their only competitive meeting in 2013, but the Seahawks forfeited the teams’ scheduled rematch last year.

This season, the Seahawks played their first two games of the year, last appearing on the field on April 18 when they dropped a 57-0 contest to the Boston Renegades. A week later, the Seahawks conceded the Divas’ scheduled home opener and have now forfeited the second leg of the teams’ planned home-and-home series.

The Divas will play three of their four remaining regular season games at home, including the home opener of their 15th anniversary season – on May 16 against the Columbus Comets.
