2006 Washington Nationals

On Labor Day, baseball’s Washington Nationals hosted the D.C. Divas team at RFK Stadium. The Nationals recognized the 2006 national champions and invited former Columbia Union pitcher and current D.C. Divas linebacker Donna Wilkinson to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. In front of a holiday crowd of nearly 30,000 fans, Wilkinson threw a high strike over the plate to open the game at RFK Stadium. The Washington Nationals’ pitching staff went on to combine for a one-hitter against the future World Champion St. Louis Cardinals.

The D.C. Divas would like to thank the Washington Nationals for their hospitality.
