White House Easter Egg Roll
For four years during the second Obama administration from 2013-2016, the D.C. Divas proudly took part in the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. The event, sponsored by the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition (PCFSN), attracted tens of thousands of people annually to the White House South Lawn.
Divas players volunteered at the NFL Play 60 station, overseeing games and activities designed to help educate families on smart ways to incorporate healthy eating and exercise into their daily routines. Members of the D.C. Divas got to tour the White House and meet and greet NFL players and other pro athletes, celebrities, and politicians. When First Lady Michelle Obama saw the Divas players at the 2014 event, she recognized them immediately and thanked the D.C. Divas for being role models to young women.
The D.C. Divas want to express their gratitude to the PCFSN and the Obama administration for allowing them to take part in a wonderful event.
