Dr. Edward Chang Bio Dr. Edward Chang is the director of sports medicine research at Inova Sports Medicine. Dr. Chang completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia and was awarded a clinical fellowship in sports medicine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). He served as an assistant team physician to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the University of Pittsburgh’s women’s basketball, volleyball, and men’s baseball teams, and Duquesne University’s women’s soccer team. As a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Chang maintains a special interest in the management of ligamentous knee injuries and shoulder and elbow injuries of the throwing athlete. He is committed to providing patients with the most current, evidence-based medical care to help them return to their sport. Dr. Chang has published numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters and is actively involved in advancing the field of orthopaedics through musculoskeletal research. |
