Alice Cates Q&A
Who are your biggest supporters?
My teammates and coaches. |
Who is your favorite NFL player? Why?
London Fletcher…he epitomizes reliability and is an unquestionable leader on and off the field. |
What was the first sport you ever played?
Soccer at age four. |
How did you get into women’s tackle football?
There’s a women’s flag football league in Houston where I met several women who played for the women’s tackle football teams in that area. I played one season with the H-Town Cyclones in 2009. After moving to DC, I wanted to check out the Divas, so I went to several games in 2011 and decided to try out for the 2012 season. |
What is your most memorable Divas moment?
Rallying in Pittsburgh to win, 43-28, and clinch the 2012 division title. Eleni Kotsis going into beast mode in the playoff game against Pittsburgh was pretty awesome, too. |
Why do you play women’s tackle football?
It is fun, challenging, and has given me the opportunity to meet an inspiring group of players and coaches. |
