Who was your childhood idol? Why?
My mother…before I was born, she was diagnosed with Lupus. She fought everyday with medications, chemo, and other medical treatments to beat Lupus for nearly 23 years. She taught me to never give up.
Who is your biggest supporter?
My nephew, Devon Matthews.
If you could have a conversation with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose? Why?
My brother, Charles Matthews, who passed away in 2012…I never had the opportunity to tell him, “I love you,” one last time.
Who is your female sports idol?
Candace Parker.
Who is your favorite NFL player? Why?
Alfred Morris…he has the best football mentality. He has a drive that defenders never see coming and the mind-state that every yard or drive is his last.
What are your favorite hobbies or special interests?
Throwing a javelin or hammer.

Maleficent.

Law & Order: SVU.

Enthusiastic, outgoing, caring.
What are your lifetime aspirations?
To open a daycare for children with disabilities.
What was the first sport you ever played?
Soccer.
What is your favorite sports memory?
Winning first place in shot put at my college track meet.
How did you hear about women’s football?
I saw some of the players at the women’s flag football games and then I started doing some research.
Why do you want to play women’s football?
I want to play women’s football to meet new people and open myself up to learning new things.
What does it mean to you to be a D.C. Diva?
Being a D.C Diva means advocating and paving a way for the young ladies and girls of the future. This is a chance for us to be a group of strong female role models for young girls in the community.
