Debra McMullen Q&A
What is your sports background?
|
I’m a sports junkie! I’m currently involved in MAWFFL women flag football, AFFL coed flag football, the IWFFA Key West tournaments from 1998-2001, the APA pool league, Congressional softball, Metropolitan balls, and strike softball. Past sports I’ve played include WIBC bowling, basketball, volleyball, Eagle Tae Kwon-Do, Kanzen Gojuryu karatedo, and track and field. |
How did you get into women’s football?
|
I started playing tackle football when I was ten years old with a bunch of neighborhood boys…no pads, of course! We played on a field that looked like it was 100 yards, but in reality, it was only 40 yards. When I was 19, I started to play co-ed touch and then women’s and co-ed flag football. For nineteen straight seasons, I’ve been playing football. Not in my wildest imagination did I ever think that I would get a chance to play pro tackle football. |
