Who is your female sports idol?
Billie Jean King…for all of the progress she made towards equality for women in sports.
What are your favorite hobbies or special interests?
Dancing and cooking…sometimes at the same time.
What was the first sport you ever played?
I have been dancing since I was seven, but since most people don’t consider dancing a sport, I played softball in eighth grade because my dad signed me up to play after I told him not to.
How did you get into women’s football?
My friend recruited me to play on his flag football team a couple years ago. I was having a lot of fun, but I was looking to play a more physical game. I looked up the Divas and saw that tryouts were soon. I thought I’d try out to see what I needed to work on to have a better chance next year. I ended up making the team.
What does it mean to you to be a Diva?
To be a Diva means that you have a family you can count on no matter what. Being a Diva is a source of pride. It means that much is expected of you, but much will be given to you in return.
