My mom…because of what she has been through and what she has managed to accomplish.

My mother.

Ella Baker…she was a force during the freedom movement and had to overcome bigotry as a female.
Who is your female sports idol?
Abby Wambach.

Ray Lewis…loved his energy and competitiveness.
What are your favorite hobbies or special interests?
Dancing, traveling, writing poetry, and lifting weights.

South America, because I haven’t been yet.

To be successful in anything and everything I do.

Soccer.

Blocking a kick in the freezing cold with my chest during the European Soccer Tournament while in high school.

A friend told me about it.
Why do you want to play women’s football?
I always wanted to be a professional athlete. At my age, this is the closest thing to it!
What does it mean to you to be a D.C. Diva?
I’m still taking it in, but for now, it means being a part of something bigger than myself.
