Jay Hodge Q&A
If you could have a conversation with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose? Why?
| Mother Teresa…she was unselfish, gave all that she had regardless of the situation, and never expected anything in return. |
How did you get into women’s football?
| My good friend Joanna was the quarterback for the Connecticut Crush women’s football team, and she asked me to come play with her. I have been playing ever since. |
What was your biggest adjustment to playing women’s football?
| The biggest adjustment for me was adjusting to the amount of players on the field at one time and being a part of a large team. Football has 11 players on the field from each team throughout the entire game. It is a lot of people when you are used to playing basketball with 10 people max. |
If you could play any other position, which one would you choose? Why?
| Defensive end…in my opinion, it is the position that can devastate or create many opportunities for a team. You need a lot of heart and pride to play that position efficiently and effectively. |
