Jay Hodge Q&A
If you could have a conversation with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose? Why?
Mother Teresa…she was unselfish, gave all that she had regardless of the situation, and never expected anything in return.
How did you get into women’s football?
My good friend Joanna was the quarterback for the Connecticut Crush women’s football team, and she asked me to come play with her. I have been playing ever since.
What was your biggest adjustment to playing women’s football?
The biggest adjustment for me was adjusting to the amount of players on the field at one time and being a part of a large team. Football has 11 players on the field from each team throughout the entire game. It is a lot of people when you are used to playing basketball with 10 people max.
If you could play any other position, which one would you choose? Why?
Defensive end…in my opinion, it is the position that can devastate or create many opportunities for a team. You need a lot of heart and pride to play that position efficiently and effectively.
