Lara Aribisala Q&A
Who was your childhood idol? Why?
My mother…she is a strong single mother. The four most important things she taught me were: always put God first, always stand up for yourself, there is always tomorrow, and it is okay to be wrong.
Who is your female sports idol?
Gayle Devers and Jackie Joyner-Kersee…they were both talented, hard-working runners that represented female athletes in a positive light.
What is your favorite sports memory?
Learning to swim as an adult in order to complete my first Triathalon.
How did you get into women’s football?
I am an athlete that enjoys new challenges, and after attending every home game for the past two years, I had to join! I respect all of the women for what they do on and off the field, and I am proud to be part of this team.
What teammate best embodies the Divas spirit?
Amy Juang, Alison Fischer, and Vickie Lucas…they always give their all and share their football knowledge.
